Do you know how much it impacts women and the girl child?
Millions of women who menstruate are living in poverty and a lot of them have to choose between menstrual products and food.
I, Stella Ndekile, chose the Nuban Beauty Pads A Girl project #nubanbeautypadsagirl for my birthday because the girl child is very dear to me and, one of Nuban Beauty's mission is to empower our communities.
We visited Makoko to distribute re-usable sanitary pads with Safety For Every Girl organization and their stories broke my heart.
Some say they use plantain leaves ( I still can’t figure out how they make it work 😢)
One said she uses socks, she will put plenty socks together.
Another one said she has to stop school for that period because she has heavy flow 😭 (what if her period starts during exams?)
Some dropped out of school already 😭😭😭
These young girls just want to live normal lives, and it breaks my heart to see menstruation 🩸 disrupt their lives.
We at Nuban Beauty, has created a line of products for this purpose; the ULTRA Limited Edition Collection.

Period poverty is a reality that impacts the lives of millions of girls, depriving them access to education, crushing their dignity and exposing them to unhygienic practices with serious long-term health implications.
In response to this challenge, Safety for Every Girl set out to craft period products that are sustainable, hygienic and easy to manage!
Our reusable pads have a shelf life of atleast two years. The implication is that each beneficiary is gifted a dignified period for atleast two years, ensuring they don't have to miss out on their education or resort to use of unsanitary products like socks, rags and plantain leaves!
Every girl deserves a dignified period and we're committed to ensuring they get it, one girl at a time! one girl at a time!
